A Pokémon card scanner app for the UK
Point your phone at a card. Collectly works out which card it is and shows what it is worth in pounds, in seconds. It runs in your phone's browser, so it works on iPhone and Android, with nothing to download from an app store.
50 free scans a month · no card details needed

Set · number · variant · condition · price
Photograph it. Get a name, a set and a price.
- 01Take the photo
Lay the card flat in even light and fill the frame with it. You use your phone's own camera, straight from the browser.
- 02Collectly identifies it
It matches the card against the catalogue and returns the name, set, number and variant together. If a detail changes the value, it asks you to confirm.
- 03See the price, keep the card
The card lands in your collection with a price in pounds and a condition. Cards you own are re-priced every night.
No app store, and nothing to update
Collectly is a web app. On an iPhone you open it in Safari; on Android you open it in Chrome. Sign in, tap Scan, and your camera opens. That is the whole setup.
If you would rather have an icon on your home screen that opens full-screen, it is quick, and the install guide walks through it for both iPhone and Android, one screen at a time.
A price in pounds, not a converted dollar estimate
Most card apps are built around American prices and convert them. Collectly prices in pounds from the start. Each price is anchored to real sold prices from Europe and America and checked against current eBay UK listings, then shown as a near-mint figure.
Open any card to see how the number was reached. Here is a real one: Charizard ex, Obsidian Flames, 223/197.
The scanner returns the printing, not only the Pokémon, because a holo and a reverse holo are different prices.
If your copy is played, set its condition and its value follows. Cards you own are valued at their own condition.
The full English catalogue plus Japanese and Chinese sets, so cards from outside the UK are covered as well.
Five habits that give a clean read
- Put the card flat on a plain, dark or neutral surface.
- Use soft, even light. A window beats a desk lamp.
- Fill the frame with the whole card, edges included.
- Glare on a holo or a sleeve is the usual culprit. Tilt the card until the shine moves off the text.
- Scan one card at a time, and keep the phone still for a second.
Every photo uses one scan, readable or not, so a good photo first time saves you. The free plan covers 50 a month, and Collector Pro removes the limit if you scan in volume.
Where scanned cards go
Scanned cards go straight into your collection, where you can watch the total value in pounds, see how close you are to completing each set and keep a wishlist. The collection tracker guide covers that side.
Just curious what a card is worth? You do not need an account for that. The card value checker lets you search any card and read its price, and the price guide lists the most valuable cards right now.
Questions people ask.
Does the Pokémon card scanner work on Android?
Yes. Collectly runs in your phone's browser, so it works the same on Android and iPhone. Open it in Chrome or Safari, sign in and scan. If you want it to open full-screen like an app, add it to your home screen using the install guide.
Do I need to download anything from an app store?
No. There is nothing to download from the App Store or Google Play. You open collectly.uk, and because it is a web app you always get the latest version without updating anything.
How many cards can I scan for free?
The free plan includes 50 scans a month. Every photo you submit uses one scan, so a clear photo first time is worth taking. Importing a CSV, tracking sets, your wishlist and looking up prices do not use scans. Collector Pro removes the monthly limit.
What happens if the scanner is not sure which card it is?
It says so. Some details change a price a lot but look almost identical in a photo, such as a 1st Edition stamp. When that happens the scanner flags the detail and asks you to confirm it before the card is added, rather than guessing quietly.
Where do the prices come from?
Prices are in pounds. Each one is anchored to real sold prices from Europe and America and checked against current eBay UK listings. It is a near-mint price, and the card page shows the readings behind the number.
